The Restaurant

“Anepalco” literally translates to “Bay” or “Bahía” in Nahuatl.  Nahuatlis is a group of related languages and dialects of the Nahuan (traditionally called “Aztecan”).  Nahuatl has been spoken in Central Mexico since at least the 7th century AD and was the language of the Aztecs, who dominated what is now central Mexico, during the Late Postclassic period.

During the French intervention in Mexico from 1861 to 1866, Mexican and French cuisine combined to bring the best of two worlds. New delicious dish creations sprung up such as quiches and crepes with Mexican flavored ingredients. Anepalco’s Café menu presents to you this unique and original Mexican-French combination represented in our exciting menu. Even though we are famous for our unique Mexican Chilaquiles, when our customers try other dishes they are delighted!
